Questioning that Jordan was the best player in the world is not bearing a grudge against him. Belittling the Lakers' 2020 championship, or any other championship, requires an agenda. If you'll recall, Paxson made the Finals-winning shot in 1993 and Kerr did so in 1997. LeBron wasn't interested in leading the league in scoring. just winning. He attracted other great players who wanted him as a teammate, and won championships for 3 different teams. If championshp rings are the only definition, then Bill Russell is the man, not Jordan.

James last trophy was the luck of 2020. Jordan had 3 years off in between his last 2 seasons. Lebron is great but Jordan is the goat except in the eyes of those who want to go by stats only and not their eyes

I'm not sure what Jordan's years off have to do with anything, other than it was his choice. I also don't see how luck had anything to do with a 2020 championship run in which the Lakers won 16 games and lost five.

Jordan wasn't in any game shape after taking 3 years off and being 38. He was drinking, gambling and smoking for 3 years after retirement.

The lakers benefit from the time off from covid shut down. Always hurt AD gets to not play a full season. They didn't have to beat the best teams. Clippers were better imo and the heat made a run...definitely not the best in the east. It was an asterisk season. They essentially won a mid season nba tournament they keep talking about.

I disagree completely. If the Clippers were better they shouldn't have blown a 3-1 lead to Denver. It's never about the "best team," it's about winning championships. Miami wasn't the best team in the East? They got to the Finals. Cleveland certainly wasn't the best in the East, on paper, in 2007 and LeBron carried them to the Finals. Jordan made a choice. The players who decided to continue to be professional did, too.

Just because lebron is better at 38 than Jordan has no bearing on him being better. If it's about championships , we'll Jordan has 6. Curry will probably have more than lebron too by the end.

You missed the whole point of the comment. 2020 changed the season. It was some random tournament after months of nothing.

LeBron was in 10 Finals with three different teams and played against great Golden State and San Antonio teams, eventually beating both. Jordan never faced Olajuwon or Robinson in the finals. The centers for the West finalists in those Finals were Vlade Divac, Kevin Duckworth, Frank Brickowski, Oliver Miller and Greg Ostertag (twice).

The 2020 playoffs were probably the fairest, because there was no travel or homecourt, and also the hardest, because of the isolation. There was nothing random about it. Again, the Lakers lost five games in four series. It's fine to have an agenda against LeBron, but I prefer facts.

So do I which is why it's jordan. Led league in scoring 10 times, more rings, more mvps, more times , more all defensive teams all in fewer years. Also a guy who wanted the ball and made it all the time in the clutch. Didn't need to go leave his teams. What is your grudge against Jordan?

Also, the game is faster because the 80s and 90s jordan played in are no longer so this also needs to be taken into consideration with James point totals. Last shot you taking lebron over Jordan? No chance

The speed of the game was pointed out, as was James' ability to still rank among the league leaders at age 38.
