So many on-point observations here, including this one: "The Tigers might suggest another reason."

Great stuff. Always loved the ladies game......it was more like what I played in high school in the 1960s. Loved the shooting touch and all --- I just related to it very well.

The NIL and Transfer Portal is/will benefit the schools that any rule [or lack of] has always benefited. Those schools that care enough to spend the money [i.e. the rich]. Any regulations [as is always the case....and we always fall into this] will benefit those the regulators are connected to. No conspiracy....just a fact. The successful and powerful schools will be the ones with the reps on the NCAA board of regulations. That is just how you naturally are chosen. Success = responsibility. This is how [maybe unconsciously] the rich keep getting richer.

John Wooden bought and paid for all 12 championships...........before NIL and the Transfer Portal. At least now NIL and the Transfer Portal is open and free and very active. You choose if you want to participate or not...............depending on how dedicated you are. Can't afford to play......get out of the game.

Let the participants decide....by their actions......how this plays out. It won't matter anyway......those that want to win will continue to win....as they always have.

My favorite line in the column -

"There are beer trucks that haven’t visited as many campuses as LSU’s roster has."
