When I saw Wills had died, my first thought was that Mark would write about it and bring the context. I was not disappointed. This is a marvelous tour of the travels and travails of a player of high impact and legend. If you didn’t like the Dodgers, you didn’t like Wills — especially in the 1965 season, as Mark so wonderfully points out. Wills was always scoring the marginal run when LA won. Thanks for this, Mark
